Now, Dolphin Browser is on iPad!Dolphin Browser, presented by Mobotap, is the most intelligent mobile web browser available that allows you to interact and engage with the web through your mobile device in the easiest, most intuitive way.

What makes Dolphin better than others?
Gestures
Simplify the way you navigate the mobile web. Open any of your favorite websites with just the touch of your fingertip in lightning speed.

Webzine
Bring out the beauty of the web and with Dolphin Webzine users can experience the web like never before.

Sidebar
With Dolphin, you can access Windows you opened simply by swiping from the right edge of iPad screen to left. You can access Bookmarks simply by swiping from the left edge of iPhone screen to right.

Tabbed Browsing
Enjoy desktop class web browsing experience. Create as many tabs as you need, quickly switch between opened web pages and open links in new tabs.

Full Screen
Take advantage of the 100% of the iPad screen. Hide toolbars and tabs with one tap.

Find on Page
Easily find a word on the web page. Work great for long articles.

Manage Bookmarks
Dolphin excels bookmark management. Add bookmarks, create multiple nested folders

User Agent
You can set Dolphin to browse desktop versions of the web sites.

Stay Private
Enabling private mode will stop the browser from remembering history.

Pros

  1. Of course the gestures detection & opening your favorite sites are one of the coolest features of this app!
  2. Webzine makes Safari Reader in iOS 5 looks primitive…
  3. User friendly interfaces using similar swipe left or right to see bookmarks & tabs (Reminds me of Charms in Windows 8)
  4. Tabbing websites good for multiple website surfing!

Cons

  1. Webzine’s articles do not have time & date stamps on them which I believe it’s a minor bug on this version v1.0.1
  2. You can only add 8 sections for the webzines which is kind of limited
  3. I think I can’t remember all of my gesture list in the future when I add too many custom gestures haha but no big issue here
  4. No add block but it’s ok for me, advertisement is IMPORTANT for bloggers & websites to survive
  5. No refresh button inside Webzine for time sensitive feeds like twitter & facebook
  6. Cannot add personal websites inside webzine or own RSS feeds or Google Reader Feeds?
  7. Desktop version options doesn’t seems to work (v1.0.1) for facebook & twitter
  8. Not sure what’s the option “Stay on screen” means
  9. Cannot add websites that you loaded to “Readitlater” or “Instapaper”

Overall, I find this browser fast & snappy with cool gestures that feels futuristic & practical at the same time however it’s far from perfect with room for improve in the future versions.

However, it’s currently FREE on the iTunes AppStore & definitely a must have for all iPad users!! Go get it NOW!
