Are you interested in a fun way to learn & practice your Chinese language skills on the iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad? If so, consider Mandarin Quest app from Applusoft Limited. With various tricky questions, nine Chinese language barriers and covering a diverse set of subjects, Mandarin Quest certainly offers some serious learning & practice solution for children & their parents as well.
Story line of the app is very intrigue- it is a story about how the hero conquers the devil and saves the villagers. One day, the devil came and occupied the mountain and took away Chinese language skill of the villagers by using magic. User has to save the village and give right answers to the questions choosing the right one among two variants. The more right answers you give the better results you have and the sooner you can conquer the mountain . Game play in Mandarin Quest is pretty simple, yet fun. Like most games on the iOS, you’ll have to beat each level first to unlock ‘em and advance on to the next.
Each level consist of two Chinese words or phrases, of which you’ll need to select the right one from multiple choice options to choose the right one. Some aren’t too hard, but even on the beginning of the game there are a few that will truly test your mastery of the Chinese language and proper use of words. Getting to the next level requires you to answer questions correctly. App shines in design and users controls. The overall layout is pretty standard for anyone used to iOS gaming apps and the quiz section seems fairly self-explanatory. The colors and design theme appear sharp, even on older devices and included sound effects are great too! Mandarin Quest feels like a very fun and interactive way to learn and practice Chinese skills, all from the comfort of the iOS. It’s also a relatively affordable Chinese words vocabulary and writing option, and the biggest advantage is that this app is Free. Furthermore, the system requirements are pretty low, as it will run on devices running iOS 6.0 or later (compatible with iPod Touch and iPhone, iPad model users). For those looking for a useful Chinese learning app, I would highly recommend Mandarin Quest app!
